The Yankees plan to activate Jazz Chisholm Jr. on Friday, a source confirmed.
Oswald Peraza was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Thursday’s game as the corresponding move.
A few hours earlier, Boone said Chisholm, whose first eligible day to be activated is Friday, was “real close.”
Chisholm was set to hit off more velocity Thursday.
A rehab assignment won’t be required for Chisholm, who has been out since Aug. 12 with a sprained UCL in his left (non-throwing) elbow.
