The food manufacturer remembers approximately 500,000 pounds of breakfast sandwiches for eating due to “poor classification”, according to the Ministry of Agriculture in the United States (US Department of Agriculture).
The US Department of Agriculture announced on Wednesday that Hearthside Food Solutions, based in Solk Lake City, remembers 489,887 lbs of sausage and bacon breakfast on Wednesday.
Products and sesame are abused, which can be deadly for consumers with some allergies.
Several sandwiches have been shipped to army and air force exchange sites (AAFES) throughout the country.
Products with the following brands were called:
- 8.35 ounces. Individually coated “Food's Food to Go Sausage and EGG & Cheese French French Breakfast Sandwich” with many symbols that start with numbers 23, 24 and 25 to 2508451.
- 7.3 ounces. Individually coated sandwiches from “Lettieri's Food to Go Bacon and EGG & Cheese French ToAkfast Sandwich with many symbols that start with numbers 23, 24 and 25 to 2508451.
The US Department of Agriculture inspection also contains the products “EST. V4907”.
The summons is linked to sesame, but the sandwiches did not contain sesame seeds-but it was made of breakfast sandwiches made of sesame flour.
“The problem was discovered when the producer FSIS informed that the French toast component in breakfast sandwiches contains sesame flour, but it was not included in the ingredient list on the label for breakfast sandwiches,” noted the US Department of Agriculture.
No reports of negative reactions or injuries have been submitted, but the press statement urged consumers to concern the health care provider if necessary.
The US Department of Agriculture noted that the food and inspection safety service “is concerned that some products may be in consumer, AAFES or refrigerators.”
The government agency advised: “These products should be thrown or returned to the purchase place.”
