FANS were not pleased with ESPN’s college football season-opening broadcast in Dublin, Ireland.
ESPN viewers slammed the TV presentation of the Florida State Seminoles vs. Georgia Tech Yellowjackets game at Aviva Stadium in Ireland in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.
The ESPN broadcast of the college football game had gotten off to a brutal start when the cameras turned to reporter Katie George just as the ref coin toss took place at the center of the field.
Viewers wouldn’t get to see that Florida State won the coin toss.
Then, fans got to experience buzzing and static audio issues from the commentary booth of Joe Tessitore and analyst Jesse Palmer.
The live TV broadcast issues didn’t end there.

Florida State’s Lawrance Toafili scored a 28-yard rushing touchdown in the first drive of the game.
The Seminoles then converted the swinging gate extra point attempt and ran in a 2-point score.
However, the ESPN broadcast was late in showing the play.
Fans shared their gripes with the company’s broadcast of the first college football game of the 2024-25 season.

“This @espncast of FSU-GT is bad. Audio is buzzing and they’re missing plays,” one commented.
“Holy sh** game presentation on ESPN is a joke thus far. Typical terrible commentary, awful static audio, missing live extra point conversion while they show a scoring replay,” another wrote.
“Holy bad audio,” a third posted.
“Too bad we couldn’t see that 2-point conversion LIVE!!!” a fourth added.
Florida State entered the game as the No. 10 seed while Georgia Tech entered unranked.
The Week 0 matchup between the ACC conference rivals counts for the season.
The opener comes after last season’s Florida State’s College Football Playoff despite winning the ACC.
Georgia Tech entered the game after the school’s trip to a bowl game last season for the first time since 2018.
College Gameday took place before the college football game.
The program consisted of host Rece Davis, analysts Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban, and Kirk Herbstreit.
Saban made his debut appearance after his iconic head coaching run with Alabama.
