Andrew Flintov gave his first novel to the car he was during the filming of Top Gear, saying he believed he had “died” in the wake of that.
The Cricket player in England, which turned into television, was subjected to serious face injuries and ribs when the three -wheeled wheel car was vanished for the BBC cars in 2022.
Speaking in a new documentary Disney+, “Freddy” said that despite the shock, “he remembers everything about him.”
“I thought I was dead, because I was aware, but I couldn't see anything,” he recalls.
“Fear to death”
“I was thinking, is this? Is this? You know what I mean? Just black for the rest of my days?
“My hat came on my eyes – so I pulled my hat and thought, no, I am not [dead]I am on the path of the upper gear, this is not heaven. “
Then Flintov looked down to see the blood, and said that “his greatest fear” was that he no longer remains a face.
“I thought my face had gone out. I was afraid to death.”
Remember that in “torment” for a period of half an hour and 40 minutes until an air ambulance arrived and was taken to the hospital.
The accident took place on December 13, 2022 in the Top Gear test path in Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.
He was driving the Open Morgan 3, when she turned and slipped, and pulled him along the track while filming.

Speaking in the documentary, he described how it seemed to slow down with the outbreak of the car, and how his rapid reactions were allowed to move his head in an attempt to avoid worse injuries.
“When it started, I looked at the ground and knew, if I was hit here on the side [of the head] Then I will break my neck, or if I beaten on the temple, I am dead. The best chance to go down.
Then I remember the beating [the ground] He added, and hit my head. “But then I went out, the car moved, and I went to the back of the car, and then [I got] Pull a face down on the runway about 50 meters below the car. Then I hit the grass then [it] It turned. “
Al -Jarrah Jahrad Haq, who treated Flintov, told the documentary that the injuries were “very complicated” – a mixture of solid and mixed tissue injuries, broken teeth, lost teeth and elements of the upper jaw bone that were broken and displaced as well.
He has really lost an important part of his upper lip – skin and some basic muscles – as well as his lower lip. “
Mr. Haq said that the injuries were in the “first five” in terms of the severity of those who saw them during his career.
“Cricket saved him”
Thinking about recovery, Flintov said he “does not think I went through me to reach” the ordeal.
“This seems terrible. Part of me wishes to have been killed. Part of me believes that I wish he died,” he added.
“I didn't want to kill myself. I don't want to make mistakes in the two. I didn't wish, but thinking, this would be much easier …
“Now I am trying to take the situation, you know what, the sun will come tomorrow, and after that my children will continue to embrace me, and perhaps in a better place now.”
Flintov, one of the most successful cricket players in England, said he “loves” his return to sports training on England – the development team under the Cricket team in England.
Flintov's wife, Rachel, told the documentary that his return to sports was decisive on the way of recovery.
“When Andrew needed more than others, the cricket was there,” she said. “It seems somewhat strange, saying a little, at the top a little, but I think the cricket saved him. He gave him a reason to exist, again.”
