Marianne Akraz, 44, drove a car to a school building on Monday, which left four dead girls and six other children who were injured, one of them in a critical condition in the hospital.
The identities of four young girls were tragicly killed when a car was launched in the post -school camp building.
The horrific accident in Ynot sponsored after school took place on the Beckenridge Road in Chatham, Illinois, around 3.20 pm on Monday, April 28. The authorities stated that the car hit several people before leaving the other side of the structure. Six children were taken to the hospital, with one in critical condition.
The driver, who was identified as 44 years old, was not arrested, but he was transferred to the hospital for evaluation. The police are not suspected of being a deliberate attack. The accident is still under investigation.

Sanjamon Provincial Judge confirmed that Catherine Corley, 7, Alema Bohnikim, 7, Einsley Johnson, 8 years old, and Riley Bretton, 18, lost their lives when the car deviated from the road and was destroyed in the Chatham building.
The mother of Alma Bohirnimbi, Billy, described her daughter as “sweet, absolute, ridiculous and funny.” “She loved her friends and family strongly. She loved playing football, basketball and gymnastics,” she told NBC News, according to the mirror.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker expressed his shock and deep sorrow over the accident, saying: “My heart is heavy for these families and the unimaginable sadness that he suffers from – something that the father should not bear.”
Illinois State Police issued a statement on Tuesday, April 29th, which read: “Illinois Police (ISP) continues to achieve them in a deadly collision accident on Monday afternoon in Chatham. The driver of the car involved in the remaining accident was identified as its crash.
“At approximately 3:20 pm on April 28, 2025, the road vehicle left for unknown reasons, I traveled across a field and to the eastern side of Ynot after the school camp located in 301 Breckeenridge Road in Chatham. The car traveled through the building that struck many individuals before they got out of the other.
“Six additional children were transferred to the region’s hospitals and one remained in critical condition. The driver and the only men of the car, AKERS, were not injured and they were transferred to the area hospital for evaluation. Poison science reports are suspended. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but this does not seem to be a targeted attack.
“ISP, patrols, crime scene services, and criminal investigations have responded to the scene with the Chatham Police Administration, the Chatham extinguishing administration, the Springfield Police Department, the Sherjamon County Office, the Sangamon Province, and many other respondents.
“This is an active investigation and no additional information is available at this time. ISP offers its sincere and dusty condolences to families, friends and the Chatham community during this difficult time.”
