Wisconsin's mother has been found for two children – missing for more than 60 years – alive after investigators reopened her cold case and is said to be living a “happy” life with “unimpinional” to leave her family.
Audrey Pakbarg was 20 years old, living with her husband, Ronald Balgberg, and their two children in Redsburg, a city about 55 miles northwest of Madison, when she disappeared from her home on July 7, 1962.
For years, investigators at the Suk Sharif County Office followed threads trying to collect the disappearance of the young mother until the issue eventually became cold.
However, Sharif's office issued an amazing advertisement on Thursday that despite all the contracts that passed, Backberg was found in good health “in another state.
“Through the tireless investigative work, which included a comprehensive reassessment of all cases of cases and evidence, as well as witnessing witnesses and detecting new visions, Sharif's office is now able to report that Audrey Bakburg is alive and in good health and is currently residing outside the state,” policemen wrote in a press release.
Detective Isaac Hanson led the investigation after appointing the cold case to him in March as part of “a comprehensive review of the Sharif office as part of a continuous examination of cold cases files.”
Hanson spent weeks re -displaying witnesses, re -evaluating old evidence, and leading to a new driving hunting to resolve the disappearance of Baltburg.
“The sister had already had an Ancestry.com account, and I was able to use it. It was very key to determining the location of death records, statistics reports and all kinds of data,” the investigator told Wisn Friday.
In the end, we reached the title … so I called the local section of Sharif, she said: “Hey, there is this lady living in this title. Do you have someone, you can just go to pop? “… after ten minutes, I called me.”
Hanson said he had spoken to Backberg for 45 minutes and told him that she had escaped from her home for her safety from her alleged abusive husband.
He said: “I think she was just removed, as you know, she moved from things and has gave up something for her and led her life.”
“She looked happy. I am confident in her decision. No regret.”
Days before the 20 -year -old mother disappeared for two children in 1962, she filed a criminal complaint claiming that Ronald was so severely defeated that she was injured in the head. He also claimed that he threatened to kill them and reach firearms, according to the missing Wisconsin.
Despite reporting the alleged abuse of the authorities, Ronald – who married her when she was only fifteen years old – remained at home with her and for children.
She left the house to get her salary from her job in the Sufi mill on July 7, but she disappeared after that.
Ronald chased after searching for his lost wife, and her family insisted that the young mother will never give up her children.
After her disappearance, the 14 -year -old children claimed that Baltburg was indignant to Madison, and then got a bus to Indiana.
However, when the police tried to have an interview with the teenager about this claim, I felt nervous and refused to speak to them.
“The events were interviewed again as an adult, perhaps 15 years ago,” the Suk Sharif County Office. Chris Zonker said in 2020, according to the missing Wisconsin.
“I mentioned that Audrey had taken a group of grains, put it in a coke box and drunk before moving the bus to Indianapolis. Audrey mentioned that he is likely to be with some construction workers who may be in the area.”
Hinson said that the administration could be confidently that Backberg left her own choice and was never unsafe while inserting it as a person missing over the past six decades. He will not reveal the situation where she was staying now.
