TSA has made a number of changes in recent weeks that travelers need to realize to avoid delay at the airport.
Updates include a new ban on luggage and advanced technology that allows travelers to pass through security without showing a pass to ascending to ascending to climb.

One of the travelers who may be disposed of new CAT-2 devices installed in 84 airports throughout the United States.
They use face recognition to check your identity with TSA planning to expand it to all federal airports that exceed 400 people in the coming years.
The machines take a picture of the traveler and their identification with their identity – they also confirm the ascending information to the climb without the need to show a pass to ascend to the ascension.
Machines use face recognition to confirm the passenger identity and flying details that day.
This means that you only have to show your identity or passport at the TSA safety checkpoints.
The system can check more than 2,500 types of identifiers, including passports, military cards, driver licenses and reliable traveler identifiers.
Once the match is confirmed, the image is deleted, and the traveler moves forward without delivering the boarding pass to the plane.
But machines also sparked privacy concerns.
TSA insists on not storing images and travelers can cancel the subscription from the face examination and choose a manual identification inspection instead.
Despite the new technology, passengers still need to pass the boarding pass to reach the plane at the gate.
One of the biggest changes in airports at the country level is new requirements for the type of identity it should show to TSA workers.
A real knowledge
The true identity law was issued in 2005 to enhance security after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Strong federal standards were set for the driver's licenses issued by the state and identity cards.
As of May 7, travelers need 18 years and above real licenses that are compatible with identity or another document approved on local trips.
Real knowledge contains a special mark – a star or symbol of the state – in the upper corner to show that it meets federal standards.
If you do not have a real identifier, American passports, military identifiers are accepted in active service, global entry, and Nexus cards.
“Checking identity is Lynchpin in security,” Carter Langston spokesman told CNBC in April.
Apply for a real identifier

The process varies depending on the situation, but the population will need some documents to apply for a real identification before the deadline.
Regardless of the situation, the online application can start by wiping the necessary documents, basic information and social security numbers. Once it is presented and reviewed, a personal visit to DMV or your state department agency is necessary for the host to verify documents.
From there, ThumbPrint will be recorded in the system, and a picture of the identifier will be released before sending it by mail.
The necessary documents are those that appear:
- Full legal name (previous driving license, passport, etc.)
- Date of birth (such as birth certificate, or one official copy)
- Social Security Number (Social Security Card)
- Two evidence of residency (such as the Facilities Bill or Voter Registration Card)
- Legal status

“We will make sure that the passengers are verifying that they say they are before they can exceed the checkpoint.”
Before the deadline, TSA said it expected about 500,000 passengers to experience the delay every day because they have not yet had updated identifiers.
TSA urged the bulletins without identifiers to appear at least three hours early for local trips.
Restructuring the line
In Pittsburg, TSA has changed another – reinstalling the checkpoint corridors just a few days before the deadline of the real identifier.
The agency wrote: “The travel volume increased dramatically during the past year, and TSA officials and airport officials have explored many checkpoints configurations in an attempt to improve the efficiency of the checkpoint and simplify the flow of passengers at the checkpoint, especially during the travel period in the early morning.”
Starting May 5, passengers were told to go ahead with the main checkpoint.
The non -TSA preex passengers who reach the main inspection point are now being re -directed to an alternative checkpoint.
Publishers said that airport staff do not seem to be sure where they direct people on the first day of change.
Energy Bank base
Finally, TSA has also introduced a new ban on energy banks and lithium -ion batteries in specific luggage.
Al -Qaeda began on the first of March after a fire broke out on the South Korean trip, which caused a portable charger.
The bulletins must now pack all energy banks and charge cases in pregnancy or risk making them confiscated.
FAA warned satirical batteries to lead to a “thermal runner”, which could provoke fires in the middle of the trip.
It is allowed only for batteries installed inside the devices – such as laptops, tablets or phones – in the specified bags.
Each traveler can bring up to two larger backup batteries if it is less than 160 watts.
What are the affected elements?
The infected lithium batteries are banned by TSA:
- Power banks
- Cell phone charging cases
- Li -rechargeable and non -operating batteries
- Cell phone batteries
- PC batteries
- External batteries
- Recharge
