RACHEL Morin’s family has spoken out after their daughter’s death and expressed harsh criticism of President Biden and Vice President Harris’ silence on her murder.

Her family accused Biden and Harris of a “lack of acknowledgment and compassion” after Morin’s horrific death in 2023.

Morin, a mother of five, went missing last summer in Maryland and was later found brutally murdered.

After a large-scale search that gained national attention, police announced that Morin’s body was found and later charged a man named Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez with her death.

It was believed that Hernandez illegally immigrated to America from El Salvador.

“It has been 75 days since Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, an illegal immigrant who slipped across our nation’s border multiple times, was captured,” Randolph Rice, a spokesperson for the Morin family, said to Fox News.

“Yet, there has been no word from the White House.”

“The silence is deafening, and it sends a troubling message that the safety and well-being of American citizens are not a priority,” the statement continued.

The family went on to say the Biden administration demonstrated a “lack of concern” and “apparent disregard” for victims of “preventable crimes committed by illegal immigrants.”

They added that former President Donald Trump has met with them multiple times and expressed his condolences.

Maryland Governor Wes Moore and former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan also contacted the family.

“He [Hogan] and Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller attended the one-year memorial walk with the family, demonstrating their commitment to honor Rachel Morin’s memory,” the statement said.

SHOCKING MURDER

What started as a normal summer day turned into shock and horror when Morin left her home for a run.

On August 5, 2023, she embarked on the Ma and Pa Trail in Bel-Air, Maryland.

Her boyfriend, Richard Tobin, grew concerned when she never returned home and reported her missing at 11:30 pm later that night.

Police launched a full-scale search to find Morin and announced the grim news the following day that she had died.

Her body was found in a drain runoff pit but police hadn’t yet identified the killer.

The Morin family continued to plead for answers until February 12, 2024.

The Hartford County Sheriff’s Office finally released sketches of Morin’s suspected serial killer and made an arrest nearly a year after her death.

Victor Martinez-Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and rape in connection to Morin’s death on June 14, 2024.

Martinez-Hernandez was previously expelled from the United States three times and is also accused of attacking a nine-year-old girl and her mother in California during a home invasion.

He allegedly fled to Maryland after the attack in March.

“We want to make it clear that we believe the suspect acted alone,” Colone Davis said during a press conference in June.

“And he doesn’t represent the entire Hispanic community of Harford County, who we are now partnering with to identify this suspect.

“I now know I can speak for the sheriff when I say we are immensely proud of this community our community will not be defined by this tragedy.”

Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler later said that police suspected Morin was not Martinez-Hernandez’s first victim.

“It is my understanding that this suspect, this monster, fled to the United States illegally after committing the brutal murder of a young woman in El Salvador a month earlier, in January of 2023,” he continued.

“Victor Hernandez did not come to this country to make a better life for him or his family, he came here to escape the crimes he committed in El Salvador.”

‘DEATH WAS PREVENTABLE’

Rachel’s brother, Michael Morin, spoke at the Republican National Convention in July to tell her story.

He told the crowd that her death was “preventable.”

“She went for a walk in one of our family’s favorite places,” he said, describing the trail as a “safe place” for her.

Michael also described Morin as a “joyful, accomplished athlete.”

He described the misery her death caused his family and their disappointment when they didn’t hear from Biden or Harris.

“But when Rachel was killed, Trump called my family to offer his condolences,” he said, adding that the former president “cared.”
