A runner died during the Half Brooklyn Marathon on Saturday.
The man, 31, was in the race at 8:11 am when he collapsed.
Police officers said that EMS responded and rushed to the Memnides Medical Center, but it could not have been saved.
The man has not yet been identified.
More than 28,000 are expected to participate in the marathon race, which includes a 13.1 -mile long -length cycle, according to the New York Road runner.
