British, Canada and France leaders threatened sanctions against Israel on Monday if it did not stop the renewed military attack in Gaza and raise the restrictions of aid, and accumulate more pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli army announced the start of a new operation on Friday, and earlier on Monday, Netanyahu said that Israel would control the entire Gaza.

A joint statement issued by the British government said: “The Israeli government's denial of the basic humanitarian assistance of the civilian population is unacceptable and risks the violation of international humanitarian law.”

“We are opposing any attempt to expand settlements in the West Bank … We will not hesitate to take more measures, including targeted sanctions.”

In response, Netanyahu said, “The leaders in London, Ottawa and Paris are presenting a huge prize for the genocide attack on Israel on October 7 with more of these atrocities.”

He said that Israel will defend itself by means only to achieve complete victory, which repeats Israel's conditions to end the war that includes the release of the remaining hostages and the allocation of the Gaza tape.

Israel prevented the entry of medical, food and fuel supplies to Gaza since the beginning of March to try to pressure Hamas in liberating the hostages that the Palestinian group seized on October 7, 2023, when it attacked Israeli societies.

The three Western leaders said in the joint statement: “We have always supported Israel's right to defend the Israelis against terrorism. But this escalation is not completely proportional,” said the three Western leaders in the joint statement. They said they would not stand by the Netanyahu government, “these terrible measures.”

They mentioned their support for the efforts led by the United States, Qatar and Egypt about the immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and they said they were committed to recognition of a Palestinian state as part of a two -state solution to the conflict.

Hamas welcomed the joint statement, which describes the situation as an “important step” in the right direction towards restoring the principles of international law.

The Israeli war and air war destroyed Gaza, which led to the displacement of almost all its inhabitants and the killing of more than 53,000 people, and many of them are civilians, according to the health authorities in Gaza.

The war began with the Hamas -led attack on October 7, 2023, in which the militants killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and seized 251 hostages, according to the Israelis.
