David Healy, Linfield's director, distanced rumors that he may be interested in taking the vacant Dunde function.

The Scottish Premier League team is looking for a new manager after the dismissal of Tony Durashti at the end of the season.

But Healy expressed his desire to build on the success he achieved this season with the Blues after they were directed to the Irish League title before the division.

“I am going to Scotland this weekend, but no [not for a job interview] “I will not go to the Scottish Cup final,” he told BBC Sport Ni.

Healy was talking after she became the first recipient of the Public Director of the Olester Football Award.

He signed a one -year contract in Linfield last August after he refused the opportunity to take over the RAITH ROVERS team in the Scottish Championship.

Healy hopes to be clear about his future in the Blues that were dissolved before the pre -season season.

“I am sure I will sit and talk about the contract. I have succeeded, and I think the club knows what they will get out of me,” he added.

“I shouldn't see why you cannot reach a conclusion; I think it was timing and circumstances [as reasons why it hasn’t yet been resolved].

“I thought about changing last summer [moving to Raith] Because I did not know where I was stopped, but I hope for success this year, moving forward we can build on it. “
