Four people were injured, one seriously, during an explosion in the basement of a two-family Brooklyn house on Thursday night, authorities said.

First responders rushed to the scene at East 37th Street in East Flatbush around 8:30 p.m. after getting reports of an explosion, the NYPD said.

Four people were taken to Staten Island University Hospital, including a 63-year-old who suffered severe burns to the body, cops said.

A 65-year-old man, 47-year-old woman and 73-year-old woman all have minor burns, police said.

The cause of the explosion, which the FDNY said happened in the basement, is still under investigation, but officials are probing if it’s connected to a gas leak, law enforcement sources said.
