The beauty queen who marries a football player is a bit of football clichies, but with Lorina Bernal, this is where the similarity with classic Wag stops. In fact, the conversation with Laureena, 44, a model, actress, life coach and spiritual coach, not to mention the wife of Arsenal director Mikel Arta, is constantly surprising.

It is smart (Trilingual in Spanish, English and French), studied and dangerous in its work of improving people's sense of self -value and helping them find “peace, love and joy”. Now she distilled her philosophy and methods in her first book that begins with you: How to find peace and permanent happiness.

But we forget the daily assurances or work for the outgoing goal of finding “happiness”, Laureena wants us to focus on something else completely: love. “I do not mean how people love, but how I love everything – places, smells, feelings and even challenges,” she says. “Of course, how do you love others and care for others, and also to let yourself love and take care of it.”

She adds that for the love of others, we must all learn to love ourselves. “It is simple, but it is also complex and difficult,” it admits. These were Lorina, who was born in Argentina and raised in San Sebastian, Spain, to learn when she won the fashion show at the age of seven.

Read more: “In my darkest moments, I wanted to tear my face – but now I found an inner peace.”

When she was a child who was passionate about “entertainment, modeling, acting, theater, cameras and lights”, Lorina's other great interest was, “humans and people. I was fascinated, I was noticing, I was analyzing people's feelings. I would have started crying, and instead of feeling sad, I was looking at myself and seeing how to express cry and sadness at my face,” she says.

She joined the Drama School when she was eleven years old and later won the San Sebastian Beauty competition, “The Most Beautiful Eyes of the North Coast”, which prompted her to enter the Miss Spain competition in 1999, which she won in only 17 years. Instead of going to university to study psychology as planned, she was heading to achieve her beauty in Spain, before Hollywood also wandered.

“I started a professional profession, be famous, television and acting,” she says. “I also faced difficult moments, and I was alone at the age of 17, and I was subjected to huge fame, and this is the world of travel and being alone in Los Angeles.” Although the experience was largely positive, Lorina says she was also alone. “This trip was not completely common with my friends. I was dealing with modeling and acting, and some of my friends sometimes did not have the tools that my understanding and there was a little jealousy of others.

“I was completely ripe for my life, and I developed a feeling of loneliness on my journey. I didn't feel pain, I embraced it but I was myself. I just could get comfort from my family when I see it.” However, she says: “I have never been a forefront of it. I never expected anything – I was happy with what I was and who I was. I was grateful for being here.”

It is a situation that has not been discovered in the abundance of those around it. “I have seen people with great success who were not happy: athletes who were very successful but were not happy, and people in Hollywood. I will be surrounded by people at the highest point you can achieve and they were not happy. I realized that happiness is not related to success, money or fame you have.”

Laureena started investigating the deepest. “Brain, neuroscience, spirituality, psychology – everything you can imagine. Healing energy. I was eating books!” What we need to have a “happy” life also started to become clear. “If we understand happiness as a goal to reach it, we are chasing it. If we are chasing something, then we compare everything, and see things as positive and negative.

“If our brain is wired for comparison and wants more time, it will never be satisfied. There will always be something that we will find better, larger or more. It is a chase that will never end and we will not only realize this in our last days when we look back and we feel that love is everything that matters,“ my God, my life wasted “happiness” instead of looking at happiness already.

On the other hand, we stress that we should try not to adhere to our fears and fears. “Our brain is wireless to understand, remember, plan, keep our safety, anxiety and alert. It is a black box with sensors – a smart computer. The problem is when you think you are your mind and control your life with negative ideas.”

It is also an audio about its spiritual beliefs. “We mind, body, and spirit, and I think and know that there is a spiritual world made of energy. We cannot look at the five senses that our brain enjoys, but we can feel it with our heart and real that there is more. We have the feeling within us.

If this is unexpected by the wife of the football director, she says: “This is not my individual world. This is a world I bear witness because my husband works there. It is an area in which I live but I do not belong to there individually. I see it from a different perspective: children who want to play football, and how my children and my children develop in general to a profession.

“I was inspired by the enthusiastic people and they are in this, in addition to all the amazing values that sport brings – teamwork, learn how to fail and go again, joy together, and families that gather to watch a team and game.

After 22 years together (15 married couples) and three children (Gabriel, 16, Daniel, 13 years old and Oliver, 10), Laureena and Michael participated in an incredible association in addition to a meeting of minds. Last year, Mikel BBC told: “I changed my life. I changed my perception about life … I have this feeling with her that we have never felt bored. I can sit there five hours, 10 hours, and go to anywhere in the world, enjoy, enjoy and laugh.”

Can Lorina be the secret of Arsenal's success? “In our profession, we always talk about the protagonist, the player, coach, or director,” said Mikel. “But what about the person who is located next to that? Without that, there are no sufficient foundations and there is not enough power to be consistent.”

The couple shares ideas constantly. “All the time,” says Lorina. “In some things in life, we look at things in the same way. In other cases, we are completely different. When someone looks at things from another point of view, it expands your mind. It is amazing.”

It takes a similar position to their children. “They teach me more than I study them – I try not to put my learners' lessons on them. It is really amazing to learn from their point of view, how they see things and how to test relationships, joy or happiness.”

The sorcery of everything keeps it more than busy. “As a coach, I have clients. As a businessman, I take care of my company, Live Love better. We are organizing events, conversations and retreat. I am active. Depending on the day I wear several different hats.”

Does she have a daily practice that helps her to maintain her balance? “No”, as you say. “My answer is not very common. I do not follow any specific routine to keep a psychological concentration. When you are firm with whom you are authentic with yourself. When you need something to keep you focus on something, perhaps this is something you force to follow?

“I have good days, I have no good days. I allow myself to be very active in some days, and if I feel,” I can't “, I will eat coffee and go on foot. I don't pay myself – I follow his own rhythms.”
