Witnesses described the “terrible” moment that shocked a “car” into a crowd of people who were attending the victory in Liverpool after their victory in the Premier League.
Mercyside police said that a number of pedestrians were wounded on Water Street, Liverpool after 18:00 GMT. Dozens were wounded, two of them seriously, with 27 treated in the hospital.
Police said that a 53 -year -old British man from Liverpool was arrested, adding that he was believed to be the driver.
One of the eyewitnesses, BBC Matt Cole, said that the car and his family had missed “literally”.
“We only had moments before we watched fireworks, the Liverpool bus celebrations that pass us on a rope,” we only had moments before we watched fireworks launched.
He said that the ambulance had just made its way through the “dense” crowd, which was part of it on the water street, when “there was screaming in front of us and suddenly this dark blue car came through the crowd.”
“It was not – I was able to seize my daughter who was with me and jump from the road.
“I missed my family literally.”
He said that the ambulance acted as “a natural barrier … slowed the car”, but “there is no intention – it appeared – to stop.” He added that the car seemed to travel to “more than 20 [mph]”But he could not be sure that he was not 30 miles per hour.
He explained that “when I passed this, it was chasing a group of men who were trying to explode on its side and threw things in it,” adding that the back wind glass “was completely destroyed.”
After moving to Al -Aman on a side street, the police saw “running from all over, ambulances, police trucks … more and more ambulances, and more police trucks – at some point, a full range of armed police cars stopped and people jumped with guns and again on a large medical package and began heading towards the scene of the accident.”
He said that his initial assumption is that the driver only wants “the prominent through the crowds because they do not want to wait.”

Harry Rashid, 48, from Solhoul, was in the show with his wife and two young men when he saw the car heading before “she was shocked by all people on our side.”

“It was horrific. It was very shocking.”
“Suddenly a lot of people began to surround,” said BBC correspondent outside the service, Dan Oujunchkin, who was in the city in the show.
He said that he and his friend noticed after that, “People were hitting the car, hiding the car, and we asked why this occurred suddenly.”
He explained that the car reflected and expelled people away from it, then “suddenly accelerated” directly to a crowd of people. “People are scattered like bowling pins.”
“It was not previously an atmosphere of celebration, joy and happiness suddenly turned into fear, terrorism and disbelief,” he said, adding that he became “hell on the ground.”
Matthew Ocarol, 28, from Ronkorn, said that he approached the top of the water street when the car was “crossed a parked car with a decent speed.”
“People were able to get out of the road because he was making a sound as he passed, but as he passed, people were very angry and started running after the car.
“The rear window of the car has already been destroyed.
“I thought as soon as we went beyond, it was just someone who was trying to get away from something and would slow down when he reached more people.”
Another witness, Mike Madra, was walking with a group of friends, when he saw a “rushing” car and hit the pedestrians.
“The car turned to the left, the installed sidewalk, comes towards us and runs towards the buildings,” he said.
He added that he believed that he saw two people being beaten, and that “it seemed intentional.”
“This day has really destroyed,” he said.
