Designed by Sperchorboard for the Arts, a minisota -based profit, the guaranteed income of artists is still active.
In 2020, the program was presented and 75 artists who lived in the FROGTOWN and Rondo neighborhoods were supported outside the Saint Paul and OTER TAIL province.
Each participant got $ 500 per month for 18 months.
After seeing a positive result with guaranteed income for artists, it was extended and expanded to include new beneficiaries, for each press statement.

SPIishboard for the Arts used their general operating boxes to help with continuous distributions, which will now last for more than five years.
Another funding continues from the foundations of Bush, Crisge, Ford and McKenite.
This makes it one of the tallest experimental programs for the guaranteed income in the United States.
The last expansion of the show increased to 100 artists in Minnesota, who will continue to get $ 500 checks.
Spend the money well
The non -profit organizations in the release have noticed that they found that most participants use income for “critical needs”.
At least 36 % was spent on basic services, 30 % on food, and 10 % on housing, according to data.
“Our program emerges as a national model, which explains how the guaranteed income can transform the lives of artists, build society's flexibility, and promote local economies,” noted by Laura Zebble, Executive Director of Spercboard Art.
“We are not only challenging the winds of political opposite – we change the narration with data, artworks and meaningful stories of influence.”
“When artists can focus more on their work, families, art, and their community instead of anxiety about the basic needs, everyone benefits from them.”
Spricboard is one of the very few organizations that provide financial support to local artists through guaranteed income programs.
How does the guaranteed income work?

The guaranteed income entered and comprehensive basic income programs in popularity recently.
After the American Rescue Plan of the 2021 Biden Administration sent incentive money to local governments, dozens began to test the guaranteed income systems (GI).
Details differ, but the digestive system usually includes batches for low -income people. Unlike traditional luxury, there are no requirements, drug tests, or other continuous chains.
Some have pushed the global basic income (UBI), which will go to everyone regardless of the amount of money they earn at work. Alaska has used a similar system since the 1970s.
Supporters say this reduces poverty while stimulating work, unlike classic luxury, which reduces benefits from people who start earning “a lot of money” to qualify.
The opponents argue that this system is very expensive to work on a large scale and suggests that the Americans avoid dependent on government money.
With some cities that herald the success of the digestive system, some Republican -led countries moved to ban. Countries like Texas and Iowa, for example, undermined the main spending plans by paying GI.
In San Francisco, California, the Yerba Bouena Center also launched a similar initiative in 2021, but it ended.
Creatives Rebuild New York also started a program in 2022 for about 2,400 artists, as she presented monthly checks worth $ 1,000 for 18 months.
Several guaranteed income programs are provided throughout the country auxiliary to low -income residents.
Help
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, I recently launched an initiative to supply the qualified population up to $ 750 per month as free assistance.
“Most people want to improve their situation. Most people want to have a better life. It is really the system that keeps people in the situation,” said the partnership director in the southwest.
“This appears when you trust and invest in people, then people can do better.”
Those who qualify specifically families of students attending deprived public schools to meet basic needs such as housing and childcare and food, among others.
At least 80 families have been set for $ 750 checks for a full year, funded by the stock re -investment solution.
There is another guaranteed income program that helps families get up to $ 2000 a month, as long as they meet certain standards.
“Jumpstart” also offers some Americans monthly payments.
