The amateur referee and author of your presentation on Rene, Ashley Hixon Leuvins, says that Uyuri Rene was an inspiration and a “non -selfish figure who placed society in the first place” after his death at the age of 65.

Rene was the first black Premier League referee, and the first more than 300 games between 1997 and 2008, including 175 Premier League matches.
