The Karlovy Vari International Film Festival gave the industry days program a renewal, adding an additional day to the department with the expansion of its jurisdiction to the development of the screen and the small series.
The expanded program, which will be held for four days (6-9 July), will be supported by a new partnership with Entertainment Outfit and BroadCaster Central EUROPEAN Media Enterprises, a popup incubator of five original European series. The goal is to create a karlovy that differs as a axis of common products and creative cooperation through various forms of narrative.
“We believe that we have a unique opportunity to enhance our position as a pioneering event in the industry dedicated to Central Europe, an area that also includes creative powers such as Poland, Germany or Austria, and deserves to be a focus international attention,” said Kvif Kryštof Musta. “Our goal is to serve as a central center for producers, directors, broadcasters and platforms from central Europe, as well as global industry specialists who want to participate closely with this vibrant region. Recognition of the increasing intersection of storytelling through various media, the days of our expanded industry now have the ability to embrace this revolution in full.”

It also runs Vod Platform OnePlay (previously Voyo). The goal is to convert KVIFF to a comprehensive center for developing the TV and broadcasting series with a program consisting of exhibitions, paintings, workshops and conversations by players and the main experts on the small screen. This event will be held on July 8 and 9.
