Guardiola repeated the need for a smaller team heading to the new season, after joking at the end of the last campaign, he would “leave” unless the play team was cut.

City has a round of 27 round of the club's World Cup. Jack Grilliche, Kyle Walker and Calvin Philips were left at home, James Makati was not chosen and Matteo Kovacic was injured.

Meanwhile, the German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been linked to the move to the Turkish heroes.
