Years of controversy over the position of Harry Potter JK Rolling against the rights of transgender people, the owners of the San Francisco Library had enough.
Booksmith, a famous independent retailer in Hight Ashbury, recently announced on its website that the author “uses its own wealth from the Harry Potter series to develop the” JK Rowling Fund for Women, “an organization dedicated to removing the rights of transgender people in the workplace, and in public life, in feminine female books.”
As a group of Queer's book sellers, we also had our teenagers [sic.] It is formed by processors and committees. See us, this is clear. If you or anyone love to dive into the Harry Potter world, we suggest doing this by buying used copies of these books. ”
Differences about Rolling's views and their activity are not new.
Recently, Pedro Pascal criticized Rolling's celebration on the Internet by the UK Supreme Court.
Pascal called it “anomalous disgusting” and “the behavior of the heinous loser”.
