Nassao County School is preparing for its opening season in women's sport, which will first play at the club level in 2026 before moving to Escouach the following year, starting with a campaign at the level of the popular base to employ its first team.

“At the present time, we rely on any accepted students attending the old Westpore who may have played in the past to be part of our team,” said athletics manager Lenor Walsh.

Walsh added that the new Panthers team, which was announced in April and will compete at the SkyLine conference, is already gaining a large traction on the campus.

“There were many people who were heard for the first time on the acceptable students’ day, and they were really excited, “she said about the program, which is still called a head coach.

However, when they fill this vacuum, there will be many recruitment trips, as the game flourished in Nasso and Suffolk provinces.

“It seems very popular here in the Long Island between high schools and middle schools,” Walsh said, adding that programs such as Lindenhurst, PlainView Old Bethpage and Port Washington are in the hour list.

The first experiences of the team will take place in the fall, with another wave that is scheduled to start in the spring as well.

Walsh emphasized that the beauty of playing locally is the chances of walking will also be abundant.

Walsh said: “You do not necessarily need to be a recruited sports student … Sometimes you never know, you can get a diamond player.”
