The Dawn of the ‘Triple D’ era

Move over AJ and Fury. There is a new king in town.
Furious AJ
Anthony Joshua admits he’s “p****d” with defeat to Daniel Dubois.
But he’s shown his class by not kicking off as he did after his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk and showered Daniel Dubois with praise.
He said: “You know I’m p****d, you know I’m ready to kick off in the ring.
“But I’m gonna keep my cool and keep very professional and give the respect to my opponent.”
Devastating Dubois
Just look at the sheer power of the first overhand right from Daniel Dubois that flattened Anthony Joshua.
Incredible power from ‘Dynamite’ Dubois.
Eddie Hearn weighs in
Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn has given his thoughts on what’s next for Anthony Joshua following his KO loss to Daniel Dubois.
He said: ‘I’m sure I’ll exercise that rematch clause.”
“He’ll believe he can hurt Dubois, he’ll believe he can beat him.”
AJ addresses retirement rumours
Anthony Joshua has just issued a defiant statement on potentially retiring after his crushing loss to Daniel Dubois.
When asked if we’ll see another ring walk, AJ said: “Yeah.”
He later added: “Before I came in I said, ‘I’m a fighter for life. We keep rolling the dice.”
Full report
Here is SunSport Wally Downes Jr’s on-the-knockout report from an incredible night at Wembley.
DANIEL DUBOIS knocked out a brave Anthony Joshua in round five of their historic Wembley war.
Dubois defended his IBF heavyweight world crown in front of a British-record 96,000.
And he had AJ on the floor in round one following a huge overhand right with only the bell denying him a stoppage inside the opening three minutes.
Joshua was then floored in round three after being battered into the ropes as Dubois landed a couple of blows after bell.
AJ picked himself up from the floor again in round four again but Dubois looked to have slowed down.
Joshua showed signs of turning things around in round five with a right hand that had the champ on the back foot.
