IPHONE users say they are being driven “insane” by a mysterious screen issue which makes typing messages a nightmare.

An unresponsive touchscreen is one of the most frustrating problems for any phone user as it leaves your mobile completely useless for a few seconds.

And holders of the iPhone 16 Pro have reported pesky issues with their device’s responsiveness, or lack thereof.

A number of users say they are unable to tap or swipes, which affects various interactions like scrolling, pressing buttons, and missed presses on keys on the virtual keyboard.

According to 9to5 Mac, the irritating glitch appears to have been caused by software bug as opposed to a hardware fault.

The eyebrow-raising bug may also be a result of the device’s thinner-than-ever screen bezels.

The design means it is easier for skin to make contact with the edge of the screen’s display.

The Sun has reached out to Apple for comment.

SAMSUNG FURY

It comes after Samsung users seethed that they were experiencing similar touchscreen issues with their devices.

The problem has become increasingly more frequent after Samsung Galaxy S23 users downloaded the One UI 6.1 software on their devices.

It was such a big problem that Samsung was forced to step in and acknowledge the major issue.

The tech giant quickly identified the cause and sent out a temporary fix leaving thousands extremely grateful.

Samsung blamed “compatibility issues with some Google app features” for the issue, in a new post published to the companies Korean Community website.

The main culprit seemed to be Google Discover as it had seemingly triggered the irregular touchscreen behaviour after downloading the new software.

Samsung released the following statement detailing how to solve the frustrating touch screen fault.

It says: “You can improve the problem by temporarily updating the Google app to the latest version, deleting the app’s data, and then restarting your phone.”

RAVE REVIEWS

Like the iPhone 16, the Pro features a Action Button and new Camera Control button.

But there are a few key changes.

For a start, the screens are bigger. The Pro has a 6.3-inch display, and the Pro Max has a mammoth 6.9-inch panel that’s the biggest on any iPhone eve.

If you have small hands then the Pro will likely be a better fit for you.

The iPhone 16 Pro models are built from a lightweight titanium, so even the Pro Max feels relatively feathery.

And there are four colours this time around, black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and the new desert titanium.

The iPhone 16 Pro promises 27 hours of video playback compared to last year’s 23 hours.
