It's not all quiet for John Krasinski after Emily Blunt learned he's the Sexiest Man Alive.
The “Office” alumnus, 45, said his wife was “very excited” about the news, and she wasn’t letting go anytime soon.
“I think this will make me do it more “Household chores,” Krasinski told PEOPLE in his cover story. “After this comes out, you'll say, ‘Well, this means you're really going to make money here at home.'”
Plant, 41, was also thinking about updating the home decor: planning to wallpaper his home with the new cover photo.
“Do we have that on camera?” Because that’s like a binding contract, I guess,” Krasinski, who shares daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8, with Blunt, quipped. “My kids would love that, and it wouldn’t be weird at all.” “
The “A Quiet Place” director added that “there was a lot of joy” in sharing the news with his other half, who is 14 years old.
“It's a beautiful thing when you're married to someone, you're constantly learning and changing and evolving,” Krasinski said of their relationship. “And I'm so lucky to have gone through it all with her.”
As for how the “Jack Ryan” star — who was named People's Sexiest Man to 2023 winner Patrick Dempsey — felt about adding another title to his resume?
“Just an immediate interruption to reality. “No ideas,” Krasinski admitted. “Other than maybe I’m a punk. This is not the way I wake up and think, “Is this the day I'm going to be asked to be the Sexiest Man Alive?” However, this was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.
Krasinski and Blunt married in 2010 and have been vocal about their relationship together over the years.
In 2011, Krasinski admitted on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he “wasn't really looking for a relationship” when he first moved to Los Angeles, but Blunt quickly changed his outlook.

“Then I met her and I was so nervous. I was like, 'Oh my God, I think I'm going to fall in love with her,'” he said, adding that their instant chemistry was undeniable. “It's one of those things that as soon as you meet someone you kind of know.”
Blunt shared a glimpse into her marriage to Krasinski with InStyle in 2013.
“Meeting John really changed my life,” the actress said. “When I feel the support I have from him, I feel invincible. “There is someone behind you on your good days and someone in front of you on your bad days.”
In August 2015, Krasinski told People magazine about being Blunt's “No. 1.” 1 like.”
“We got really lucky,” he said of their romance. “It's one of those things, I'm having more fun now than the day I met her, which is pretty wild.”
“I think when you commit your life to something like this it changes everything. All the clichés are true,” the star added.
