Disney and Lucasfilm revealed this Star Wars Visions: Volume 3 It will premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
The third installment will feature nine short films from eight different Japanese animation studios, Disney and Lucasfilm announced today at the Disney APAC Expo in Singapore.
The nine anime studios are David Production, Kamikaze Douga, ANIMA, Kinema citrus Co., Polygon Pictures, Production IG, Project Studio Q, TRIGGER and WIT Studio.
“This award-winning anthology of animated shorts celebrates the Star Wars mythos through unique cultural lenses,” Disney and Lucasfilm said in a statement.
Highlighting the eight different anime studios involved Star Wars Visions: Volume 3Disney and Lucasfilm added that this demonstrates “the diversity and creativity of Japanese animation.”
Previous installments of Star Wars Visions were released in September 2021 and May 2023.
