A championship-winning Florida high school football coach was allegedly caught on camera watching pornography in the classroom in front of students.
Max Edwards, the head football coach at Miami Jackson Senior High School, was caught watching pornography on a school computer in full view of at least one student, who filmed it, according to footage obtained by CBS Miami.
The video shows a staff member, allegedly Edwards, at a desk in the corner of a classroom with blatantly explicit content visible on the screen.
Edwards has been placed on leave while the Miami-Dade School District investigates, officials said.
“Miami-Dade Public Schools is disturbed by the allegations made regarding disturbing behavior by an employee at Miami-Jackson Senior High School,” the district said in a statement.
“The individual has been removed from the school site pending the outcome of the investigation.”
It is unclear whether Edwards could face criminal charges.
Edwards is a prominent high school football coach in South Florida.
He previously coached at Miami Northwestern Senior High School for a decade where he led his teams to three state championships, according to WPLG.
