An autograph seeker went berserk on Jason Kelce after the former NFL center and ESPN personality walked past the person without signing an autograph while leaving the filming of an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday night.
A video obtained by TMZ showed the strange scene taking place behind the studio in Hollywood, where several people looking for autographs were waiting for Kelsey, prompting one person to take pictures when Kelsey did not stop to sign.
“You're no one special!” The man can be heard screaming at the beginning of the video. “You're an evil person, a royal man who thinks he's on some pedestal!”
The person continued to yell at Kelsey, saying he was upset by the “situation” before shouting, “There's death on these damn streets two blocks away and you're being inappropriate.”
Kelsey tried to explain that he doesn't sign autographs “for people who follow where I go.”
But that didn't seem to satisfy the aggressive autograph seeker who continued to yell at Kelce, which included calling the Super Bowl champion a “punk f–k” and telling him “I'll take you anytime.”
Kelsey (37 years old) was able to calm the situation by getting out of the car he was in before pointing to the spectators who were there, and he even shook hands with the man who was attacking him with obscenities.
“I'll sign,” Kelce can be heard saying in an attempt to calm things down.
The person seemed to have changed his tune when the former Eagles star started signing.
The petitioner stated that he was “ashamed of that moment” while also requesting that the video of his outburst not be published.
“I feel for you and I appreciate you,” Kelsey said after the man continued his apology.
It was a very different scene than the one that played out at Penn State earlier this month when Kelsey slammed the phone of a fan who called Kelsey's brother, Travis, an anti-gay slur.
Kelsey later expressed remorse over the incident in an apology during “Monday Night Countdown” a few days later.
