This came 24 years after he made his debut as a starting quarterback for the New England Patriots.

Brady and Burkhart were at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the call-in for the Dallas Cowboys against the New York Giants.

Fox NFL host Curt Menefee welcomed them to his pregame show by bringing up Brady's 2000 debut.

He entered the game late in favor of Drew Bledsoe as the Patriots were blown out by the Detroit Lions.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion discussed his first NFL accomplishment, a six-yard catch to beat Rob Rutledge.

But his broadcast partner, Burkhart, reminded him of a less fulfilling moment.

“You told me your second pass was almost a pick six to the house,” Burkhart said.

“You were supposed to skip that part,” Brady interrupted.

Burkhart was on the defensive in the ensuing exchange.

“We're thankful it wasn't, that's the whole idea,” the lead game caller said.

Brady then showed off his photographic memory from his first appearance 24 years ago.

“The first pass was caught off J.R. Redmond’s helmet,” he recalls.

“The second one I almost threw with six picks.

“But it's the third one I finally completed for Rod Rutledge.

“It was a low point, but it was all uphill from there.”

What rules does Brady have to abide by too?

Here is a list of rules that Tom Brady must abide by…

  • He is not allowed to be in another team's facility
  • The practice may not be witnessed
  • Radio production meetings are not permitted either in person or virtually
  • Public criticism of game officials and other teams is prohibited
  • Subject to the league's gambling policy
  • Subject to the league's anti-tampering policies, he is limited to “strict social contact with members of other clubs.”

“Yes, I think it was good for you,” Burkhart agreed.

Brady went on to win seven Super Bowls and is widely considered the greatest player of all time.

He is in the first year of his $375 million deal with Fox.

Brady had a comedic reaction last weekend on Fox NFL Sunday when Michael Strahan and Minifie told him he had to work on Thanksgiving.

But Brady and Burkhart are off Sunday with Fox's duo not placing better in any of the network's five games.
