There are only a few hours left until Walmart shoppers can take advantage of the huge discount on one of the popular services.
It's arguably the retail giant's best deal of the holiday season and offers several benefits to those who sign up.

Last month, Walmart confirmed that the price of its subscription service, Walmart+, would be reduced by 50% for an entire year.
Walmart+ normally costs $98 per year, which means the promotion will make it just $49 until the December 2 deadline.
The subscription allows customers to get free shipping with no minimum order fee, free grocery delivery with a minimum order of $35, up to 10 cents off gas fill-ups, a free Paramount+ subscription, and, if they sign up before Thanksgiving, early access to Black Friday sales.
Other perks include a 25% discount on items at Burger King and even free online pet sitting.
Interested shoppers should act fast, as there are less than seven hours left for the half-off deal on Walmart+.
In addition, it is only available to select candidates.
In print, the promotion states that it's “only available to new, expired, monthly, and existing Walmart+ trial members.”
This means existing Walmart+ members who have already paid their $98 annual fee are out of luck.
Feeling neglected
This aspect of the deal didn't sit well with some longtime Walmart+ subscribers.
“It's pretty terrible that you won't be offering this to your current long-time members,” one angry shopper said on X last month.
They argued that the retail giant was “cheating” members like them “by not giving them the same price.”
“Ridiculous, don't you get that?” asked the shopper.
However, they claimed a Walmart employee advised them to cancel their membership and re-subscribe as a workaround for the promotion.
Even though this might seem to work, the shopper still refused to do it in protest of not being included in the 50% discount with other long-time members.

Best benefit
Those who choose to cancel their subscription or don't act fast enough for the promotion will miss out on one of the biggest benefits of Walmart+ – Scan & Go.
Scan & Go is a feature offered through the Walmart mobile app to subscribers that allows them to use their phone to scan the merchandise they want while shopping in the store.
After scanning everything they want and putting it in their shopping cart, the app can then generate a single barcode for all items.
This barcode is then scanned at checkout and verified by a Walmart employee for an efficient checkout and checkout process.
Walmart also decided earlier this spring that it would block some self-checkout kiosks in select stores for Walmart+ subscribers to use Scan & Go, and for Spark Drivers to move quickly and get orders to customers.
The move was not well received by some regular customers, who claimed it negatively affected their shopping experience with long queues and waiting times.
Many are still upset about Walmart's decision to disallow a certain payment method as well.
One customer also recently claimed that “only 6 out of 40 checkouts” were open during holiday shopping at their local Walmart prompting them to boycott the retailer forever.
