Will Liz give him a rock too?

Season 2 of “Shrinking” introduced some new characters — including a love interest for Jessica Williams, who plays Gabby.

Damon Wayans Jr. first appeared on the Apple TV+ comedy series in Episode 4, “Made You Look.”

“Oh, I want Derek,” Gabby says after Ted McGinley's Derek gives Michael Urie's Brian some words of encouragement alongside Christa Miller's Liz.

“Then I have the greatest coincidence ever. “This is my best friend from my old job, Derek,” he answered as the new “Derek 2.0” entered.

Williams, 35, joked to the newspaper that giving the character the same name was stupid.

“This is stupid. It's really stupid!” she exclaimed. “I love him. Yes, it's great. It's really cool. It's the best. This season is a joy. He's also really funny and says, “What do you want to do?” let's do it. Let's do it, let's go.

Their new relationship was written up after Gabi ended her friends with the benefits of the situation with Jimmy (Jason Segel).

“I love working with Jason. He's like my favorite person to work with. He's a very giving actor, a very thoughtful actor. He's ready to play,” she said.

“My love language is spending time with people and telling a joke and then listening and responding. I love that with all actors. Michael Urie is really good at that where I can just give them a show and they'll take it and eat it and give it back to me. And Jason is really great at that. And so it's my favorite thing “

“Shrinking” was quickly renewed for a third season in October. Creator Bill Lawrence always envisioned three seasons for the series, with the second season focusing on forgiveness. However, he told The Post that he would play for a fourth season if that happened.

In addition to Wayans Jr., season 2 brought in co-creator Brett Goldstein in the role of Lewis. Viewers learned that Lewis was the drunk driver in the crash that killed Jimmy's wife, Tia (Lelan Bowden).

“If you go through a catastrophic event with your family or friends, and we're all just two steps away from that, there's no going forward until you get over the forgiveness hurdle.” Lawrence told the Mail. “And I think that sometimes people move on, and that might be like a daughter forgiving her father for dropping the ball during the worst year of her life. But it's not always forgiving to someone else. Sometimes that means forgiving yourself.”

“Some of the saddest things in my family are the differences that still exist, you know,” he added.

While Jamie and his daughter Alice (Luketa Maxwell) continue to deal with the aftermath of Tia's death, Alice and Brian forge a relationship with Louis. After Jimmy found out, he secretly went to Louis and asked him to cut ties with Alice.

“Shrinking” stars Harrison Ford, Luke Tenney, Devin Kawaoka, Rachel Stubbington and Wendie Malick.

“It's just a feeling of play. So anytime I get to do it, even when our characters are arguing, it's really fun to do. “I feel like there are no boundaries,” Williams told The Post about working with the cast.

“I love the fun of the job. I love it when I feel like I'm having fun because that's Gabby,” she continued. “Now we understand the dynamics of Season 1, so we have to come in and do it more. So it's really sweet.”
