The “Vanderpump Rules” alum suffered a bloody lip over the holiday after Hartford, the couple's 3-year-old daughter, accidentally hit her in the face with a toy broom during a spirited performance of Wicked's hit song “Defying Gravity.” “
Clark, 44, was filming his wife, who was sitting on the floor next to their Christmas tree, while she and their eldest child chanted the lyrics to the inspiring song.
The little girl — who was wearing a gorgeous champagne-colored dress — excitedly waved the witch's broom at the same time Schroeder, 36, leaned over.
Once Schroeder — who stunned in his smart black attire — called the game, she and Hartford stopped in their tracks.
Although the former Courage immediately let out a laugh, Beautiful Hartford quickly asked: “Are you okay?”
“No,” Schroeder replied, before asking her anxious child if she looked like Count Dracula.
Hartford gasped and pointed to her mother's lip as blood began to drip.
“Oh, no,” Schroeder said after seeing the look on her daughter’s face. Within seconds, Hartford stood up and assured her mother that she would go get her a tissue.
While Hartford was in the other room, Schroder turned to face Clark, who was still recording.
“How do I look?” she asked, causing the commercial casting director to gasp as well. “Oh my God,” Schroeder said, “is it really that bad?”
“Oh my God,” the stunned Clark repeated, causing Schroeder to ask in confusion, “Are you messing with me?” Are you messing with me now?”
Blood continued to drip from the left side of her mouth as the camera flashed a worried smile.
“My mom!” Hartford exclaimed as she returned with a hand towel and began gently wiping her mother's face.
“Didn't you feel that way about your fake chin?” Clark quipped, prompting Schroeder to admit that the blow was “painful” — but not as bad as childbirth.
The child said more than once: “I’m so sorry,” while the real-life character touched her arms and told her: “It’s okay. It’s okay. It was an accident.”
The podcast host's 1-year-old son, Messer, was present at the incident but appeared to be in his own little world.
As for Clark's joke, Schroeder admitted in a comment under his Instagram video of the ordeal, “Yes, this side of my chin has always been numb since the chin implant.”
