This man gave a new meaning to the slogan “Gothaava Wawa”.
Police in East Windsor, New Jersey, arrested a 24-year-old man on December 23 and charged him with abusing the city's 911 system by allegedly calling emergency dispatchers a total of 17 times.
Instead of taking an Uber, Adam Vaughn allegedly wanted town cops to personally drive him back and forth to the nearest Wawa — a popular convenience store — in nearby Hightstown.
This won't happen.
Instead, East Windsor police personally visited Vaughn at the Windsor hotel where he was staying, and warned him to stop making calls.
The warning came after Vaughn's first few attempts.
Police told him that calling 911 was for emergencies only.
But the warning went in one ear and out the other, as Vaughn allegedly continued to flood 911 with calls.
He was eventually handcuffed after submitting his 17th request for a police escort.
In addition to the 911 abuse, Vaughn received a felony summons for obstruction.
