Children talk loudly, act out, and refuse to do their work — and it's enough to drive countless teachers to despair.
But former English and PE teacher Johnny Oblong has taken a very radical step to get away from the challenges of the classroom – switching careers to become a porn star.
Now, the 38-year-old can earn hundreds of pounds for a day's work compared to the relatively small sums he used to earn as a teacher in the UK.
For seven years, Johnny taught at a British school before deciding to give up his teaching job due to pornography, after moving to Prague, Czech Republic.
He first came to town on a friend's stag trip, oblivious to the fact that it would become his home.
As The Sun discovered in our latest dispatch, the capital has become a thriving hub for the adult entertainment industry, with producers taking over holiday rentals to film high-tech virtual reality films.
“People may find that they have rented an apartment where pornography was filmed,” says Johnny.
“It's not a matter of if someone will meet a porn actor here, but when.”
But while some performers have thrived in sex-crazed Prague, others have revealed they've tried to leave the industry – only to find it difficult to leave their reputations behind.
For Johnny, the transition into porn wasn't difficult thanks to his connections.
“I already knew people who worked in the industry and my friends always joked that I would do well in the adult industry,” he told The Sun.
“I didn't tell the school when I resigned what I was going to do.
“I told them I wanted more flexible hours and the ability to travel, which is exactly what porn provides me.”
During his years of teaching, he worked in a high school, which meant that teenagers who taught him as a teacher could have come across his videos.
“It's entirely possible they could find my content, and I can't stop that,” he said.
“I hope they haven't done it yet, because they are children. But if they do, that's not my problem, it's up to their parents to monitor what they watch.”
“I've accepted that in this job, people I know may see me at some point or another.
“But most people are too embarrassed to bring it up in my face.”
Awkward chat
Johnny jokes that his school days, where he enjoyed being a “theatre kid”, have fueled his new career as an adult actor.
“I know this is not Oscar-winning acting,” he joked with a smile.
“But I like doing little scenes and improvising.”
He only started appearing in front of the camera less than a year ago, climbing the ladder as a behind-the-scenes assistant helping bring in everything from food to sex toys.
“I didn't tell my parents until after I was making good money from him, so they knew I had a steady job,” he explains.
Trade problems
Johnny hopes his career choice will pay off, as trying to get back to a regular job after porn is very difficult for obvious reasons.
Italian porn star Denis Marti, 52, who began his career in the 1990s, has decided to leave the industry to become a restaurateur in his home country.
“At the time, I and others felt that the Internet was diminishing the quality of pornography when I decided to take my leave,” he said.
“I got into the restaurant industry and became a chef, but it was difficult because I felt like people would judge me for participating in pornographic films.
“There seems to be a suggestion that I can't do the cooking because I was doing porn, which is unfortunate.
“People were always mentioning my past, so I decided to go back to porn because I'm good at it and I have talent there.”
The dark side of porn
Like every industry, the pornography trade has a dark side.
Suicides, drug overdoses and human trafficking constitute an abnormal vulnerability, which has recently made headlines in both Europe and the United States.
In January this year, adult film star Tanya Fields was found dead after she said she had been “sexually assaulted” early in her adult film career.
She said at the time: “I suffered sexual harassment and assault after I started creating adult content. It's too strong.
“A lot of people thought that by hiring me, they could do whatever they wanted with me, but then I went home, took a shower and cried.”
Among the recent deaths in the United States are actresses Angelina Blaze, Dahila Skye and Olivia Lua.
Former manager Tommy MacDonald tells us he left the business after experiencing some terrifying situations.
He says at least two models he knew committed suicide while he was still producing, and many models appear to have simply disappeared.
“Over the years of working in the industry, suicides have unfortunately been quite common,” he said.
“Eastern European women are often brought into this industry by traffickers and forced to film pornographic films under threat of violence.
“It's hard to work in this industry without your morals changing because there's so much going on.
“I have also heard of rape allegations against senior producers and suggestions that people were drugged on set before filming.
“It was also fairly common in Europe for talent to formulate clear tests so that they could continue working even if they had come into contact with something.
“There was an HIV outbreak in Europe about five years ago, which fortunately changed the way testing was done.”
Dennis, who speaks six languages, entered the industry while studying in Rome for a doctorate in comparative literature in English and Spanish as a way to pay the bills.
Thanks to the reputation he gained as a reliable actor over two decades of work, he was able to return to the world again.
“A lot of fans have been asking me to get back into it for a few years,” he said.
“They felt my genre of romantic porn was lacking with things focusing on the more hardcore scenes.
“I love doing scenes that require storytelling and communication. It's all romantic.”
One thing he's noticed since his return is the shift in power to the performer thanks to platforms like OnlyFans and X, formerly Twitter.
Additionally, fans can communicate more easily thanks to social media.
He added: “There is basically no barrier.”
“Pornstars are no longer this mysterious thing you can only meet at conventions. They're just a click away.
“I know labels aren't interested in sites like OnlyFans, but it's a great way for performers to find a niche and generate revenue for themselves.”
OnlyFans saved me
Mary Galore, 29, who filmed Dennis' first scene with him, is one of the artists making the most of fan sites.
Due to her heavily tattooed body, she's not your typical porn girl despite her petite stature.
“I'm a little bit special in this industry because of my tattoos,” she said.
“In Europe, they don't like to give work to people they think are 'terrible'. It's a kind of discrimination.
“So I do a lot of my own work that is comfortable for me, and sometimes I work with production companies when they want me.”
