TEAM USA star Steph Curry seems to have hurt France deeply with his heroics in the men’s basketball final.
The Golden State Warriors star propelled the Americans to a 98-87 victory over the host nation, causing the country’s McDonald’s to issue a threat.
Curry, 36, ended the clash gold medal clash with 24 points, one rebound, five assists, and two steals.
More notably, he knocked down four 3s in the last three minutes to repel the Frenchmen’s late comeback attempt.
Following the final, McDonald’s in France threatened to pull its curry sauce from the menu.
“For obvious reasons, we are considering removing this sauce,” the company posted on Instagram alongside an image of a classic curry sauce container.
In the caption, the French McDonald’s said the ban could last “for four years minimum.”
The joke amused Team USA fans.
“Night night Curry Sauce,” one wrote,
“They come in packets of 3,” another added.
“Now they know what he’s been doing all these years to the NBA,” a third said.
“Hahahhahahah,” one wrote, adding four laughing emojis.
