Carey, 41, took to her social media where she shared a new video with fans of the ride leading up to the show.
She took to the stage wearing a loose sweater with oversized black pants in a clip on her Instagram page.
As the singer became acclimated to her environment, she wore sparkly heels under her tucked-in bottoms.
A loose gold cape was added to the ensemble as she stunned in a stunning gold embroidered jacket with ample fringe to completely cover her figure.
Once she dropped her guitar, another pink outfit was also seen on the star.
This was made up of another loose sweater with a shiny fringe that had to be pinned by a production staff member.
“What a great thrill. There are so many people here, I mean there's no other place like it,” she admitted in the clip.
“Here we go! It's going to be amazing, I'm so excited!”
The video then cut to various behind-the-scenes shots of her enchanting music performance.
She was seen wearing the loose golden cover-up over her sparkling suit.
She captioned the post: “We take you behind the scenes leading up to @RockinEve's New Year's performance at #TimesSquare.
“It was like no other place on the planet!”
At the time of the ABC show, fans noticed the different outfits as they suggested she might be pregnant on social media.
