King Charles is understood to have been saddened after a Briton close to the royal family was killed in the terrorist attack in New Orleans.

King Charles is said to be in touch with the Pettyfer family following his death earlier this week.
The royal was often photographed alongside Tiggy throughout her years as a close aide to the royal family.
She worked as a nanny for Princes William and Harry between 1993 and 1999.
Tiggy was considered a central figure in the brother's life after the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997.
The pair are said to still be in contact with the mother of two to this day.
Pettyfer was visiting Louisiana with a friend over New Year's when he was killed in the heinous terrorist attack on Bourbon Street.

They added: “We will all miss him terribly.

Pettyfer is the eldest son of former security adviser Charles, 59, and his mother Camilla White.
His parents divorced in the mid-1990s before Charles found love with his beloved nanny a few years later.
At this point, Tiggy was actually Edward's godmother as she had been a childhood friend of Charles, according to reports.
Charles and Tiggy have two sons, Tom, 22, and Fred, 23.
