The underground mayhem spread to the commuter rails on Saturday, as a Metro-North passenger was stabbed in the chest in an altercation over loud music as the train arrived at Grand Central.

The attack happened around 7 p.m. on a Metro-North train on the New Haven Line that was arriving at the station, according to MTAPD.

Abdul Malik Little, 46, was playing music through his phone's speaker and objected when his 31-year-old colleague complained about the racket.

MTAPD says Little stabbed the unidentified 31-year-old man in the chest twice with a knife while the train was stopping at Grand Central.

The victim was strong enough to exit the train at the station and identify his attacker to police patrolling the platform.

MTAPD reports that patrol officers arrested Little at the scene without incident and recovered a knife during the arrest.

The 31-year-old victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

MTAPD says Little, of Jamaica, New York, is charged with attempted murder, felony assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

This is the second stabbing in as many weeks in Grand Central and comes on the heels of a series of horrific underground crimes.

On Christmas Eve, suspect Jason Sargeant allegedly slashed a man on the wrist and a woman in the neck during a mad dash through Grand Central, according to the NYPD.

On December 22, a woman riding the F train was set on fire and burned to death by an illegal Guatemalan immigrant, who burned her clothes, lit a bonfire and watched 57-year-old Debrina Quam die on Coney Island Stilwell Boulevard. The train stopped, cops say.

Sebastian Zabieta Calil, 33, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and arson for the attack. He is scheduled to appear again in court on January 7.

On New Year's Eve, a guard was pushed in front of an oncoming train on 18th Street in Chelsea in a shocking attack that was caught on tape.

This alarming rise in high-profile subway crimes has led the Guardian Angels to dust off the red hats.

Curtis Sliwa, founder of Angel and a former mayoral candidate, announced earlier this week that the anti-crime brigade will resume patrolling the city's subway system for the first time since 2020.

“We're going to have to increase our numbers, increase our training, increase our presence like we did in 1979,” Sliwa said at the Stillwell Avenue-Coney Island station in Brooklyn last Sunday.
