In a recent interview, Bush Hager admitted that she is “engaged” in the search for her next host.
“What I loved about doing the show was Hoda, you know?” She said. She also confirmed that there is no set deadline for finding her new co-host.
“Calm down,” she advised. “I feel like our audience deserves the time to get to know a lot of different people, a lot of different backgrounds. We hope to raise chairs for all different types of people. I think there will be some surprises for sure. And so it's like when we know, I think we'll know.”
today She finally announced the celebrities who will first join Posh Hager on her new show: Taraji P. Henson, Keke Palmer, and Eva Longoria. Henson will reportedly host again on Friday as well. Additional hosts for the show will be announced tomorrow, January 7.
As executive producer Talia Parkinson-Jones said, the show's new format will show Bush-Hager “dating” new hosts.
“Hoda is the queen, you know, and she brings something very special. I don't think you can ever replicate that,” Parkinson-Jones said. “We're in this new version of the show, which is really dating Jenna. We have a chance to meet different people, and one day we will fall in love, but until then we will have a really good time.
This is the last week on today It's going to be a huge whopper, culminating in a final broadcast in Studio 8 with a live audience.
