Liverpool FC announced the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Sam Kerr on loan until the end of the current season.
The 25-year-old Scotland international joined Bayern in 2023, winning the Women's Bundesliga title in her first year with the German club.
She also won four Scottish Premiership titles with Glasgow City between 2016 and 2019, before moving to Glasgow Rangers and helping the team lift the Premier League title in 2022.
Kerr said she spoke with Liverpool manager Matt Bird and “liked” the club's “ambitions”.
She added: “The Women's Super League is the most competitive league, I mean people dream of playing here. I'm very excited to be involved in that.”
“For me as a player, I think what I can bring to the team is some leadership qualities and a lot of energy and passion, and I will bring that on the pitch in every match and every training session.”
Kerr made her debut for Scotland in 2020 and was named the 2022 Player of the Year.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are eighth in the WSL table and will play Brighton on January 17 at 19:00 GMT.
