The Göteborg Film Festival and the Nordisk Film & TV Fond have announced the inaugural five nominees for the Nordic Series Script Award.
The nominated series are: Families like ours (Denmark, nominated authors Thomas Vinterberg and Bohr. Hansen), Money shot (Finland, nominated writer Jimina Jukisalo), Pressure point (Sweden, nominated writer Billy Radström), Kfishling (Norway, nominated writers Anna Bach-Weig and Saif Rajendram Eliasen), School of housewives (Iceland, nominated writers Arnur Palme Arnarsson and Jóhanna Fredrika Sømundsdóttir).
The award was launched last year and comes with a cash prize of NOK 200,000 (€17,000). The Nordic Series Script Award jury is Henriette Steenstrup, Actor and screenwriter, Norway; Joanna Szymanska, Producer and CEO of SHIPsBOY, Poland; Linus Fremin, TV critic and creative director at Make Your Mark, Sweden.
This year, the festival will also launch a Creative Courage Award to honor the producer and commissioner of a series that boldly pushes creative boundaries and embraces innovation. Creative Courage recipients are selected from several admissions processes conducted by broadcasters and broadcasters in the Nordic countries.

The winners of the Nordic Series Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on the evening of January 28, 2025. The winners of the 2024 Nordisk Film & TV Fond, the former name of the award, are Johan Fasting, Selle Storsten, and Kristin Gro for the Norwegian drama Power Play.
