IT’S one the nation’s most-loved discount stores – but did you know there’s a specific time to hit TK Maxx to bag the best bargains?

This is according to one former employee who took to TikTok to spill the beans about the high-street giant and how shoppers can get their hands on cut-price gear.

The ex-worker, who spent five years at TK Maxx, said that there were ”’secrets” the huge retailer didn’t want customers to know, including the best time to pop into the store.

As claimed by the former employee, who goes by Patience on the platform, cash-savvy shoppers should visit the shop in the morning when the stores are opening for the day.

This, she noted in the video, is because most stores will get their goodie deliveries just before the doors open to the public.

”I am pretty sure at my TK Maxx they got deliveries at 6am every single morning and there would be people from 6am sorting it out and putting it away on the shelves.”

In some cases, shops will get double deliveries, with brand new items hitting the store in the late afternoon around 3pm.

”Technically, the best times to shop are at 8am to 10am and 4pm to close,” she revealed in the clip, advising ”to never go at lunch time”.

Another reason keen bargain hunters should hit the store bright and early is the ”fresh” stuff available, whether you’re after make-up, skincare or designer items and even posh handbags.

Meanwhile, if you’re on the hunt for the most expensive gear, Patience revealed you probably won’t have any luck finding it at the front of the store.

”Because people would just come and steal them, obviously.”

Garments that are ”reasonably priced” but are ”still really good brands” will land in the features section ”so you don’t have to go and scavenge”.

Fellow TK Maxx shoppers will also have noticed by now that it’s pretty difficult finding two of the same items together.

As explained by the former worker, this is a process called ”hashing” to avoid people from finding all the posh gear in one place and stealing them.

”Let’s say, I have a bunch of tops, like Ralph Lauren, tops – I’ll put like one ad then I’ll put like a bunch of random brands, and then I will put another one.

”Basically, you have to sort through it – it’s like a treasure hunt.”

Dozens of TK Maxx super fans flocked to comments to thank the ex-staff member for the valuable info, as others shared their tips for the ultimate shopping experience.

How Does TK Maxx Flog Designer for Cheap?

  • TK Maxx follows an off-price business model to get designer products for cheap
  • It buys merchandise from various brands and designers at a discount and then sells it to customers at lower prices than traditional retail stores
  • The selection at its outlets often includes overstocked items, last season’s styles and goods from cancelled orders.
  • The Gold Label is a premium collection of designer and luxury products offered by TK Maxx.
  • If you love designer clothes, this is the tag you want to look out for on pieces.

One said: ”Always ask them to do and RIL (return item lookup) at the till for anything with a red sticker to make sure it’s marked down fully.

”Chances are it’ll be more reduced once you get them to check.”

Another person who claimed to work at the high street giant said: ”The one I worked at delivery was every night so it was all out by the morning.

”Mark downs where in the mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.”

”Ohhh that’s why is called a treasure hunt,” someone else chimed in.
