Speaking to Sky Sports, McLaren Andrea Stella team manager said that Dunne was “diligent and impressive” in his approach to the session, which included the new McLaren promotions test.
“He also had an opportunity to show some speed, not a surprise because he is a fast driver,” Stella added.
“I think we need to be a bit cautious about looking at the times of the roll because the time of its later came at the work period when the fuel decreased.
“But she was encouraging and impressive, in terms of Alex himself and was a good session for McLaren.”
Caron Chandoc, a former driver's driver, says Dan's performance “was very impressive.”
“If you are McLaren, I will try to make a deal with Kadillac or a person like that,” said at Sky Sports.
“You want to find a seat somewhere to build some of the race experience.
“I will try to get a deal elsewhere for a period of time and make it a kind of rope again, as Mercedes did in the past with George Russell.”
