Wayne Lewis of Atlantic Star died at the age of 68.
The singer and keyboard player was a founding member of the American R&B group in New York.

The band shared the news on their Facebook group: “From great sadness, we have to publish Wayne Lewis's death on June 5, 2025, please keep the family in your prayers and respect for privacy there.”
The cause of death is not yet known.
Fans took comments to pay the star.

Wayne Lewis was one of the members of the original founding band, along with his brother, Dermas Porter Carroll Junior, Kliford Artcher guitarist, as well as rhythm player and flute Joseph Philips.
His brother David was a singer and guitarist, while their brother Jonathan was a keyboard and tromoneist.
Atlantic Starr's songs, “Secret Lovers”, “Circles”, “Silver Shadow” and “MasterPiece”.
The band – which was formed in 1976 – continues to perform today, after it released its thirteenth album “Metamorphosis” in 2017.
Wayne was a member of Atlantic Star until his death.
Other band members are Messa Pierce, Shammah Carter and Wayne Jonathan Lewis.
