Brighton agreed to an agreement 29.78 million pounds (35 million euros) with Olympiacos for the 18 -year -old striker Charlamebus Costols.
The teenager was undergoing a medical with the club on Thursday, before signing a five -year contract to start on July 1.
The deal, through the distance, represents the highest fees it has ever received by a Greek club, overlooking the wolves worth 16.6 million pounds paid to sign Daniel Bodis of Olympiacos in 2020.
If the additional 1.7 million pounds for Kostoulas is fulfilled during his period in Brighton, this will be a record paid for a Greek player – where Napoli is at a value of 30.63 million pounds for Roma for Kostas Manolas in 2019.
Greece under 21 achieved its first team in the first team in 2024, after it came through the Olympiacos Academy.
Costols was a regular start as Olympiacos won the European Football Association Youth League in 2024, defeating Inter Milan and Bayern Munich on their way to the final, where they defeated Milan.
The striker scored seven goals in 22 league games last season.
