The police arrested 28 fans in the Polish city of Wroclaw after clashes between Chelsea and Real Betis fans before the European Football Association Conference League final.
Hundreds of fans in the Wroclaw Souk Square clashed on Wednesday afternoon, but the police intervened quickly.
It was initially reported that the water cannon was used, but the Wroclaw city hall confirmed that it was “ready as a precautionary measure” but “the situation did not escalate to a level that required them to be published.”
“The strong and visual presence of the police, including British communication officers and negotiators, was effective in canceling tension tensions,” he added.
The local authority said that “the regime has been preserved since then throughout the city,” the match at Stadion Wroclaw reached 41000 without reporting any other disturbances, while 5500 people in the city's fans area saw.
70,000 fans arrived in the city in the southwest of Poland to the final, a number covering ticket holders and those who attend fans and other events throughout the city.
Chelsea won the third European competition 4-1 in the evening Wednesday.
“For the rest of the night, the police will remain in service with its full strength,” he added.

On Tuesday evening, several clashes took place between Chelsea and Beitis fans near Solney Square.
The riot police intervened using tear gas to disperse the crowds. Chairs and glass bottles are thrown and the confrontation continues for about five minutes.
There were two other clashes in the evening, with slight damage caused by any major injuries reported. Seven fans, including four Spanish supporters.

“I thank the police for their decisive actions against rioters at Chelsea and Beetis shirts in Wrocla. We warn you: If necessary, the police will be more cruel!”
