The coronation icon Lisa George has openly opened about going under the knife to change its appearance. The 54 -year -old star is famous for playing in Beth Tinker in ITV soap from 2011 to 2024.

Away from Corrie, she also appeared on other beloved offers including EMMERDALE and Casualty – and even a junction on ice dance in 2020 when she was associated with Tom Naylor and got fifth place. Away from the TV screen, Lisa admits that she fought with her confidence.

Lisa explained that she became self -conscious about her appearance after her star's strength increased after joining the Coronation Street crew. She even stopped smiling in photographs fighting self -esteem.

Lisa struggled with the appearance of her eyes, which she felt promoted by the heavy make -up in which she was rising to play Paith on ITV soap. The actress was particularly dispersed through the way that made her eyelids look like “retreated.”

“They put all these eye shadows on my eyes and sat in all wrinkles and it seemed that it was dragged through my eyelids and hated the way it looked. I was very unhappy but I had no confidence in doing anything about it.

“Nobody told me anything at all, there were no comments, it was more critical to myself. It was really bothering me. Every time I was putting my makeup, there was my eyes. I never liked to smile in the pictures because of the way I looked at my eyes.”

Lisa shared photographs of herself about her eyelid surgery, as it lasted a year to decide to pass the procedure during the balance of positives and risks. The soap star had mainly “burning” excess skin from its eyelids through the procedure, and was also the eyebrow elevator.

The operations were carried out in January and a year after the diagnosis of Lisa with non -arterial optical nerves (NAION), a genetic eye condition that causes a decrease in blood flow and oxygen to optical that cannot cause visual loss.

Discussing the day of surgery, Lisa explained that the doctors told her that they would have to perform the operation without a general anesthesia because she suffers from diabetes. “I was completely vibrant. I just assumed that they would give me a general drug and I will wake up and it will end up.”

Lisa explained that due to diabetes and fears about sugar levels, it can only be granted a local anesthetic. This was not something you could have expected. I remembered the thinking “What do I do?” Throughout the procedure.

Despite her fears, Lisa praised the medical staff, and revealed that she did not feel anything during the operation, and the team was also playing music while she had the process to relieve her nerves.

When she continued her conversation, Lisa explained that she refused some work in order to undergo surgery and recover from it – but she hopes to return to TV soon. She added that she changed her hair and lost her weight since ITV soap left and hopes to have a role in a show like competitors, which flows through Disney+.

Since undergoing surgery, Lisa has definitely felt more confident and was showing her new appearance online. With the move to Instagram recently, she participated in two stab wounds in a white dress.
