Dog attacks in each part of England and Wales are increasing, according to new disturbing data – check their number that has been reported in your area using our interactive map.
Police forces recorded a significant increase in the number of dogs' attacks on people all over the United Kingdom – the new interactive maps show the areas that have witnessed most of the accidents.
Dog attacks have increased in every part of England and Wales, and worried numbers have shown, with double accidents since 2019 in five areas. In general, there were 87 crimes a day on the day when a person was injured in a dog attack during the year 2024. The BBC statistics have shown through requests for freedom of information, that dog attacks have been in every region during the past few years. This is despite the new rules, last year on the sale and ownership of XL American XL dogs.

The most fatal dog attacks this year
There have been already two XL attacks in the UK until now this year, while many accidents have left people who were injured.
