Drivers have been given a golden opportunity to remove old traffic ticket debts – but they will need to act quickly.
Under a new city program, late fees and penalties can be wiped on qualified parking lots and clean traffic tickets as long as the original fine is completely paid by June 30.

The limited time width is part of the Vehicle Violence Dress in Chicago, and it applies to tickets from 2023 or before.
The city does not tolerate the actual ticket, but it contains additional fees such as late penalties, assembly fees, boot and cloud costs, and more, in most cases.
All it takes is one step: pay the original fine. If the ticket is eligible, the added fees will fade.
“You will still need to pay the base well,” the city explained on the Internet.
“But penalties and fees can be dropped.”
Everyone is very qualified, there are no income requirements, no complex models.
If your ticket decreases under categories such as parking lots, standing, expired registration, city stickers violations, red light cameras or speed, you are likely to be in them.
But not everything is qualified. Tickets for the ending parking meter are excluded, as well as any cases that went to the court or in official groups.
Also, if your car is booked, you can still remove ticket fees but not the version, withdrawal or storage fees.
They still have to pay.
“Do not wait,” says mayor.
“This is your opportunity for a new start,” Mayor Brandon Johnson said this week. “So, don't wait.”
The drivers until Monday, June 30, 2025, have to benefit.
Online or personal payments can be made at the Chicago City Payment Center.
Besides the relief program, Chicago also operated 16 new speed cameras on April 1.
They are already issuing warnings, and they are part of a scheme with 50 cameras across the city this year.
So, if you are late on tickets, it is now your chance to wipe the list before you start more fines.
