She said: “This happens in many industries – when women defend themselves, their career takes great success.
“I have been broadcasting for 11 years. I am not new to that. In the past 18 months, I have done the lowest TV I have ever made.
“This is just a fact. This is not a feeling, this is an opinion. This is a fact. So I think people can extract their own conclusions of that.
“There is a double standard where there is still a limited amount of opportunities for women and female broadcasters, whether in the game of men or women.
“We are still competing for two or three seats as a maximum, including offers.
“What Joy Barton wants, and some male football fans, is for women to start from TV.”
Aluko said that she faced threats of violence and ill -treatment on social media after Barton published twice on the social networking site X in January 2024, and the jobs that the judge ruled were public.
Barton claimed that Aluko's father was financially corrupt and that her own education made her “hypocritical”, and accused her of “using the race card”, according to the court.
Aluko said she had to leave the house as a camouflage because of the session.
She said: “There are 45 tweets by Joy Barton with a tweet about me.
“And what he does is that it affects you in real life, as it seems to be a wave of abuse and it seems that you are in an aquarium. This means that I am more aware.
“I don't feel that I can only go out and be free to do what I am doing. In the first week I was a follower of myself and some people believed that this has ended, but this is the effect on me.”
