It plans to hold the European T20 franchise championship this summer until 2026 because three potential owners focus instead on completing the deals to buy the team’s shares per cent.
The European Premier League (ETPL), owned by Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, which includes the city's privileges from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands next month.
Six teams were to be held from July 15 to August 3, but multiple sources told the BBC Sport that the event would certainly not happen this year.
The cricket project is leading Ireland, in cooperation with the Scotland Councils and the Netherlands.
Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Amsterdam and Rotterdam were the designated places for ETPL, which promised to “raise local talents, draw international stars, and ignite a wave of chickwashing throughout Europe.”
It is understood that the deals of no less than three of the six concessions based on the city are very close to the signature, and it was initially hoped that once they conclude, the remaining three will be followed soon.
However, three potential ETPL concessions also get a per cent shares and are said to have given priority to these deals.
In April, the England and Wales Cricket Board of Directors (ECB) has extended the deadline for completing the privileges that were agreed earlier this year.
The impact of the delay in those sales is the postponement of ETPL, with an official announcement to confirm the reschedule that it has been rescued during the next 48 hours.
Bollywood actor and Bachchan production films as a partial owner of ETPL were announced in conjunction with Rules Sport Tech when it was launched in January.
Rules Sport Tech is a private Indian company “promoting to create high -quality sporting initiatives, championships and events.”
Bachchan, born in Mumbai, 49, traveled to Dublin in March to promote the championship through a series of media interviews and Instagram functions.
This is not the first time that the European T20 franchise championship has been struggling with Dutch, Irish and Scottish cricket panels to get out of the ground.
In 2019, the Euro T20 championship – which had different supporters – was postponed slightly over two weeks before the opening match.
This came after the announcement of the team's names, and the draft of the missile players, including Eoin Morgan, was allocated for the privileges.
Then the championship was postponed several times over the past years and never took place.
Organizers are thrived with ETPL prospects, although no privileges have not yet been sold, and they are sure that he will not suffer from the same problems that EURO T20 Slam.
Crickets, Ireland, Scotland, and the Dutch cricket association rejected the comment.
