Now you enter the eighth version, the filming of Italy Sardegna is preparing for what appears to be the most loud event so far. The cinematic and television event was founded by Tiziana Rocca, on June 19, 2025, in the village of Forte in Cagliari, Sardinia.
The festival will present more than 70 films, many of which are Italian or international family. The prominent titles in the squad this year include Stephen Soderberg presenceStarring Lucy Leo and Chris Sullivan; Reflection on dead diamondsHélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani; and Karate Kid: MythsIt is directed by Jonathan Instaltal. The festival will open with the movie Poveri noi By Fabrizio Maria Cortez, Paulo Rovini starring Thursday.
“The team's squad is incredibly rich and varied, and it extends over multiple types, regions and views,” says Roca, who also returned this year as a technical director of the Film Film Festival, which concluded on June 14. For her, she sees the four -day event as a “strong platform for introducing cinema for young generations.”
“Photography was created in Sardegna to give real vision and opportunities for the next generation,” says Roca. “Getting to our eighth version is a proud teacher, and it proves that our efforts make a difference. Our goal is to support young talents, industry relationships, highlight female voices and encourage Italian and international cinema.”
It refers to the festival's short films competition, which is organized in partnership with the University of Cagliari, as one of the events of the stars in the festival. The short film jury will be chaired by actress and director McCilla Ramzotti, and will join her Heather Graham, Alec Baldwin, Rockyo Monoz Morales, Ricardo Melanie, Aurora Givanazo and Gaymondo Georgio.
There is also a strong focus on the festival to highlight women in the industry and this year, honors Sardegna The last oats Director Gia Coppola with Women's Award Excellence. “Its existence is a great source of pride for our festival and a tangible sign of the increasingly strong link between American cinema and our country,” says Roca.

Among the other prominent guests this year Simon Baker, who will receive the Italian Filming Award for Excellence, and Cuba Godng Junior, who will be honored with the creative Italy Award. French actress Anushka Delon will attend, and she won a prize on her father, Alan. Italian actress Martina Stella will act as a festival cancellation.
Television will also play a major role this year. “Today's audience is consuming stories across both movies and television, and we are fully embraced by this development,” says Roca. The promotion of the region, especially Sardinia, as a major photo destination, was also a fundamental goal for Rocca, as it was building the event steadily over the past eight years. “I chose Cagliari and Southern Sardinia specifically because these breathtaking sites in global cinema. Through the festival, we highlight the lights on landscapes, culture and infrastructure of the island, and encourage international filmmakers to consider Sardinia for their next project.”
“We are also proud to note that Sardegna is a plastic free festival, awareness of the environment. We highlight films that increase awareness about sustainability and environmental issues, especially for younger fans.”
